Our association's statutes

The Association "C oncours Hélène de Montgeroult-de Nervo, Romont (CH)" aims to promote the work of the pianist and composer Hélène de Montgeroult (1764-1836), born de Nervo, mainly by organising piano competitions for young musicians in Romont.

To achieve this goal, the association organises events for a target audience of musicians, teachers, students and classical music lovers.

By becoming a member of our Association, you contribute to the promotion of the work of an exceptional artist. Like so many other women artists of this period, Hélène de Montgeroult-de Nervo was quickly forgotten. However, today's critics note that her music seems to link Haydn and Mozart to Schumann, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Chopin.

On the other hand, you encourage the practice of classical music and the piano in particular among young musicians.

The "Hélène de Montgeroult Competition" promises to attract young pianists accompanied by their families and teachers to Romont. They will not fail to discover the charms of this medieval city and to talk about it around them.
